Nina's Story

Nina is an extra-large beauty with an even bigger heart. This gentle girl is calm, affectionate, and adored by our volunteers for her sweet, easygoing nature. Even during her recovery from foot surgery, Nina showed incredible patience--quietly allowing frequent bandage changes without a fuss.
Nina's journey has taken a few unexpected turns. Adopted as a puppy in Atlanta, she was deeply loved and known to be wonderful with kids and devoted to her family. As life changed, she moved between homes, each one sharing kind things about her. Sadly, her path eventually led her to Texas, where she was abandoned in a small kennel on the side of the road.
Nina forms strong bonds with her people and loves deeply, but she can be uncomfortable with strangers. Because of this, introductions to new people should be done slowly and thoughtfully to help her feel safe and secure. With patience and understanding, she truly shines.
She would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention and feel completely at ease.
Nina loves water (a home with a pool would be her dream!), craves connection, and is ready for a stable, loving home--ideally with experienced dog owners who can give her the consistency and reassurance she deserves. After all she's been through, Nina is ready to finally write her happy ending--with you.
Est. DOB: 3/9/19
80.3 lbs.
AAR does not transport for adoption.
