Niklaus's Story

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Niklaus! Niklaus is approximately 1 year old, 50 lbs currently and he might have some Shepherd in his mix! He was found in a known dumping ground with another dog (Candi). In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.

His foster says, "Niklaus is the sweetest! He is a big, gentle baby and loves to be in your lap or next to you so he can be the center of your attention. He walks nicely on a leash, he is very clean in his crate and has been working on house training and is doing well. He loves to play and wrestle around with his sister, Candi. He can be a bit vocal and howls when my husband leaves the house. He would do great with a sibling to keep him company when no one is home but hopefully he will learn to trust that he will never be abandoned again. He is a darling pup. He is going to make a great family dog."

He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 30th.
