NIKKI

Nikki came to us from another Rescue who needed help with over flow. She originally came from a breeder. She just turned 3 years old this month and she has gotten a little chubby in Rescue at about 16 lbs. Nikki is just learning about life but seems to pick things up quickly. She is not really what I would call fearful, she is happy and playful and a medium energy girl who is loving attention but she is afraid of people chasing her and grabbing her. She has never tried to bite but will just run in circles. She has gotten much better about that and in time will get over it but she needs a home who can work with her and help her along the way. Keeping a leash on her is the solution. She is good with her foster home pals but I have seen her get a little bossy with another dog just because. She didn't try to hurt them, but chase them away from whatever she thought belonged to her. For the most part she lives in peace with other dogs. I think she would do ok with kids as long as they don't chase her. Nikki is a happy gal who likes people but needs some time to adjust to yet another situation. She won't be your BFF from day one, but you will get there.
