Nigel's Story

NEWBIE ALERT!! MEET NIGEL!

Nigel is officially ready to find his perfect forever home! This sweet boy was saved from a local overcrowded shelter, and now it’s time for him to find the family he deserves.

Nigel is around 3 years old and 30 lbs. The shelter called him a mini Doodle mix of some sort, but we think he looks like someone put a Basset Hound body and a Schnauzer head and coat together! He’s low to the ground, long-bodied, scruffy, adorable, and packed with personality.

Nigel is a sweet, active, playful boy who thrives when he has plenty of stimulation and companionship. He is currently fostered on a farm, where he absolutely LOVES running and playing with the other pups and animals. Once he’s gotten his playtime in, he’s perfectly happy to come inside and crash on the couch!

NIGEL’S IDEAL HOME:

* A home with other dogs is a must
* An active household that enjoys being outdoors
* Older kids who can play with him would be great
* Plenty of opportunities to run, play, explore, and stay stimulated

Nigel is not an overly hyper dog. However, like many active dogs, when he doesn’t have an appropriate outlet for his energy, boredom can lead to unwanted behaviors. Now that we know what makes Nigel thrive, we want to set him—and his future family—up for success from the beginning. ❤ï ̧

In his current foster home, Nigel is basically PERFECTION! His only work in progress is some excited jumping when he first gets let out, and his foster family is already working on that. He is eager to please and truly wants to be a good boy.

Nigel does great in the house and crate, walks on a leash, and doesn’t mind riding in the car. He’s UTD, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) neutered, and ready for a home to call his own!

Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply. We work to find the home that is the best match for each individual animal.

We also never state that any animal is fully house-trained. Even the most well-trained animals can have accidents when adjusting to a new environment, family, routine, or situation.

Adoption fee: $195
The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter.

Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to all inquiries and applications. We appreciate your patience and support more than you know! ❤ï ̧

ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK IN BIO!
Apply to adopt Nigelï¿1⁄4

https://form.jotform.us/70898112177159
