Against all odds, this brave little soul survived thanks to the compassion of a Good Samaritan who brought him to The Fuzzy Pet Foundation. Since then, Nico has been thriving in foster care, and now he is ready for the loving home he so deeply deserves.<br/><br/>Despite his past, Nico’s resilience shines through. He adores human companionship and thrives on affection. His upbeat nature will melt your heart, and his most endearing trick is the little twirl he does on his hind legs when he gets excited for mealtime. Playful and curious, he enjoys exploring, going for daily leash walks, and curling up close once the day winds down. At just 17 pounds, he is the perfect size for snuggles on the couch or for tagging along on adventures.<br/><br/>Nico is friendly and social, doing well with many other dogs, though he tends to feel most comfortable with smaller, female companions rather than dominant, high-energy males. He has not been tested with cats. Because of his early trauma, Nico will do best in a calm, stable home without rambunctious children who might startle him. We are seeking adopters with proven experience in providing excellent veterinary care, ideally with familiarity caring for brachycephalic breeds like Pugs, and a strong commitment to offering him a safe, loving environment.<br/><br/>Nico also has a clean bill of health. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. He is in excellent condition and fully ready to make the transition into a forever home.<br/><br/>Nico has already endured so much in his young life, yet he remains trusting, affectionate, and full of joy.
