Meet Nico!<br/><br/>Nico is a 13-month-old German Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and excellent manners who is ready to find his forever home. He’s an affectionate, well-rounded boy who transitions easily into routines, making him a wonderful companion for many types of households.<br/><br/>Nico is crate trained, though he also does wonderfully loose in the house overnight and while his foster mom is away during the day. He’s eager to learn and already knows commands like sit and wait, and he walks nicely on leash — a fantastic foundation for continued training.<br/><br/>In his foster home, Nico lives with a female Malinois mix and two cats. He gets along beautifully with all of them and has been social and playful with every dog and puppy he has met, regardless of age. He politely greets the cats with a gentle hello but mostly ignores them.<br/><br/>Nico loves meeting new people and welcomes everyone with happy tail wags and requests for pets. He’s an active young dog who enjoys chasing balls, exploring outdoors, and running around the field with his foster sister. After a good play session, he’s happiest relaxing beside his person, enjoying belly rubs, head scratches, and a tasty treat.<br/><br/>He is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, and he takes treats gently.<br/><br/>Nico is truly a fantastic young dog.
