<p>Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Nico. He is a foxhound who just turned 5 years old. He has a short hair coat and was an owner surrender in 2022.</p><br/><br/><p>Nico has matured into an even keel hound. He is very focused and is a mid energy kind of guy. He does well with other dogs but is more of a companion rather than a playmate. He loves his foster Dad and going for car rides with the family is his favourite past time. Nico has a great time being outside with all family members. All seasons of the year, makes no difference but doesn't like the rain.</p><br/><br/><p>Nico has a typical hound appetite and is fed twice daily. His big beautiful eyes will melt your heart when he watches you to see what you are doing. He enjoys cuddling on the couch with or without the family members. He has not spent time during the last 4 years around children but we were told he was very good with them. Nico is allergy free and very healthy. He sleeps on a doggie bed at night and doesn't enjoy the crate. He is a climber so he will climb up on a chair or window sill if he wants to look outside. Other than climbing on things in order to get a better view, he is never destructive. He is just a nosey boy curious to know what is happening.</p><br/><br/><p>Being a hound is has a prey drive so a cat free home is mandatory. He enjoys walks but will need some leash work. Due to his short haircoat, he requires a coat in the cold weather.</p><br/><br/><p>He is a really nice boy, kind and not a bully. Nice and gentle calm demeanor. He will make a wonderful new family member for any type of family who includes him in their lives on a daily basis.</p><br/><br/><p>Nico is neutered, vaccinated, 4dx tested negative and microchipped.</p><br/><br/><p>His adoption fee is $550.</p> Visit barksandmeows.ca for an online application.
