I was born on 5/19/2025. I weigh 24 pounds. I was released from a breeder. I am being fostered out of Higginsville, MO.<br/><br/>I am a big, beautiful puppy with playful puppy ways. I will chew on things and nibble on fingers, but will stop when told. I love everyone and enjoy toys. I enjoy my foster siblings, but can play roughly. I sleep all night in my big wire crate without a peep.<br/><br/>I'm working on housebreaking and use a doggy door. The vacuum cleaner didn't even scare me. I love to cuddle on the couch and sleep on my back to get my belly rubbed.<br/><br/>I can be protective of the house and need to be introduced to a dog outside before letting them come in. Then we are best friends. I'm learning about the leash, but walk better with another dog,<br/><br/>I am very smart and catch on quickly the routine of the house. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue's Adoption Policy
There is no fee for submitting an application with us. We are not affiliated with any other organization so we do require our application to be submitted in order to be considered. We prefer applications be completed online, We DO adopt to families with fenced in yards or those that live in apartments/condos. MABTR offers a two-week trial period with each adoption to ensure your new dog is a good fit. You only need to complete one application per household, not per dog of interest. MABTR will do our best to help transport any adopted dog within the 13 states we serve. We do not adopt outside of our service area, no exceptions. It may take us up to four days to process your application as we review applications twice a week.
