Nick's Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgNick is a 1.5-year-old Siberian Husky with striking eyes and a big personality packed into his 51-pound frame. True to his breed, Nick is full of energy, mischief, and charm—he’s the definition of husky spirit!

Nick’s Story

Nick’s journey hasn’t been the smoothest. He was adopted out by a shelter and quickly returned due to behavioral concerns, including breaking out of a canvas crate, chewing wires, and mouthing his previous owner (no medical care was needed). The shelter had adopted him out to the wrong family who didn't understand his needs. That's when the shelter decided he could only leave again with a rescue, and we brought him into our program.

Personality & Play

Super active—he needs lots of exercise and stimulation
LOVES other dogs and plays well with both males and females
Wrestling is his favorite game, so dog friends who enjoy rough-and-tumble play are ideal
Still in the mouthy/nippy phase, so a home without small children is best
Vocal at times

Home Needs

A fenced yard or a very active family committed to leash exercise
Great candidate for doggy daycare or dog park adventures
A patient home ready to continue working on manners
Housebroken and crate trained (though he prefers sturdy crates!)

Nick is a classic young husky: energetic, mischievous, and brimming with potential. With the right home and handler who understands husky quirks, Nick will blossom into the loyal, adventurous companion he’s meant to be. If you’re ready for a spirited partner to keep up with your active lifestyle, Nick is waiting to meet you!

Nick is located in Virginia. He can be transported within the eastern US for the right home. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org
