NICHOLAS's Story

All of your questions should be answered!

CAPP participated in the closure of a Missouri puppy mill in late October. Volunteers drove to Missouri and rescued 34 dogs, and this is one of the puppies born after the rescue. Rescue groups from around the country managed to get about 60 percent of the 800 dogs, keeping them from going to another puppy mill that could have been even worse than the one they came from. These were breeding dogs that spent their life in outdoor or indoor cages with wire floors; living in noisy, smelly environments just churning out litters. Now that they are rescued, they are no longer a commodity and are ready to experience life in a loving home. All are social and seem great with dogs their size. We haven't tested any of them with cats or larger dogs. Many have extraordinary medical issues, including dental problems and orthopedic issues from living on wire grates; none had any vetting other than a rabies inoculation. Our adoption fees are set to help offset our costs. Adult dogs: $350 fee. Puppies: $500 fee.

A lovely, healthy active little boy--raised with dogs, cats and well socialized! $500 fee.

Some of our general policies: 1) Pets seen at pet adoption clinics or BY APPOINTMENT TO APPROVED APPLICANTS ONLY.
