Nia's Story

Available for Adoption - Foster to Adopt

Nia needs a soft spot to land, and we would love if it could be her forever home. After the trials and tribulations this young pupper has suffered, it would be lovely to have her find he people and learn how to be a dog.

The Underdog Railroad came to her rescue, when she was brought into the shelter with her leg ripped half off from getting hit by the train. Knowing she was suffering, Cara whisked her off to the ER vet for an amputation. We said yes to the mess, and Miss Nia is getting ready for transport this coming weekend.

She is current on vaccinations, dewormed, Heart Worm tested Negative, Microchipped and ready to come snuggle with you. We will place her into your home with our foster to adopt program, so we can finish up her medical needs, including spay. Nia's life before is unknown, but she is showing us just how much resilience dogs have. We see so much potential in her. Her ideal home is likely with other medium to large dogs, but probably best to steer clear of homes with small pets, like cats or ferrets. At somewhere close to 9mo of age this 31lb sweetheart will likely be an ideal medium sized doggo.

Adoption fee is $200

If Nia has captured your attention today, maybe slip us an adoption application for this cutie on the mend. Adopting a tripod really is no different than a 4 legged canine, she will be a 100% soon!

The Furry Farm Rescue's Adoption Policy
When you see an animal you would like to find out more about and meet, please go fill out our adoption application to start the process. Our adoptions are not first come first served, but a match of the needs of the animal with the best potential adopter. You can expect to hear from us within a week or two after submitting your application. With review of your application, we conduct a phone interview, check references, and speak to your veterinarian. During that process we will also schedule a time for you to come meet and get to know your new furry friend. If you have other animals, we will want to do intros at that time. We then ask you to take a few days to think about it and let us know. Next, we come to your house and do a last meet and greet before finalizing the adoption. All adopters sign a contract with the Furry Farm Rescue. All of our adoptions come with a 2 week trial period for dogs, and 1 week for cats. This allows you and your new furry friend some time to bond and decide if this is a forever family. Our Adoption fees vary between $50 to $275 for dogs, and cats are $40 to $60. Each pet’s fee will be listed in their biography.
