Newt's Story

PLEASE NOTE THAT FILLING OUT A PETFINDER INQUIRY DOES NOT SUBSTITUTE FOR FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION ON THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE. THANK YOU.

Meet Newt -- casually known as "Mr. I'm Happy" . Newt is a sweet, friendly, 6-8 year old boy but don't let his age fool you! He's an active Brittany, barking and chasing the squirrels and birds. Due to his strong prey instinct, a home without cats is recommended.
Newt loves people and other dogs. His play style with other dogs is active, involving a lot of chasing, barking, and happy growling. He will chew on bones and play with balls. Newt loves watching squirrels, birds and bunnies, and will definitely chase them. He will point at birds, and eventually start barking and running around the yard. For these reasons, Newt needs a fenced yard,
Newt is-higher energy dog. He loves outdoor walks. Like any active Brittany, he does pull strongly on leash. At night, he enjoys lying next to foster mom on the couch, snuggling and looking for pets.
An excellent counter surfer this handsome boy is also learning his dog manners (sit, stay, come) and he will do extremely well with a person or family who will continue the training.
Newt has been neutered, is up to date with his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on prevention and is microchipped.
Newt is a good dog, with all the makings of becoming a great dog -- perhaps with you?? If so, please take a moment and fill out an online application at www.nebrittanyrescue.org We look forward to hearing from you.
