Say Hellooooo Newman...

This cute 5ish year old poodle mix is looking for a home after being abandoned. He’s a a social friendly guy overall who makes new friends quickly, but can get overwhelmed by some handling or being restrained and lash out at times so is looking for an adult home that will give him space. He’s not a cuddly lapdog who wants to be dressed up, carried around, and cuddled all the time and is an energetic guy who likes walks, car rides and adventures. Newman did have some mild skin and ear infections that were bothering him and may have been part of his handling sensitivity. but is feeling much better with treatment. His new parents will need to be prepared for regular vet visits and grooming and monitoring in case it is a chronic allergy issue that may need follow up treatments.

All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
