Nev

Meet Nev — short for Never Stop the Flop!

Nev is an adorable, middle-aged Shih Tzu who tips the scales at a whopping 9 pounds. He may be little, but this sweet guy has perfected the art of being a professional companion.

Nev came into rescue with large perineal hernias that needed surgical repair. After surgery, recovery, and one slightly goofy haircut, his hernias have been repaired and Nev is healthy and ready to find his forever family!

Nev’s main goal in life is simple: be wherever his people are. He appreciates having a comfy bed in every room so he can keep an eye on what you're doing without missing out on his beauty sleep. Even better? A warm lap! Nev happily settles in for snuggles and belly rubs, and at bedtime, his favorite place is cuddled up next to his person.

Nev does well with other small dogs, although he doesn’t interact or play much with the dogs in his foster home. He would be perfectly happy having canine roommates, but he doesn’t need another dog to be content. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but we think he would likely do well with them, too.

Nev is house trained and does well in his kennel for short periods of time. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and has had a recent dental. You may notice he’s missing a few teeth, but we think his slightly toothless grin just adds to his charm.

If your idea of the perfect dog is a tiny, laid-back sidekick who wants nothing more than a soft bed, a warm lap, plenty of belly rubs, and a spot beside you at night, Never Stop the Flop might just be your guy!

Interested in meeting Nev?
