Neptune- Long Timer Special!'s Story

Say hello to Neptune! He is a fun, loving, and well-mannered boy, ready to settle into his forever home. He is a Pitbull Terrier and roughly 3 years old. Neptune came to us in January of 2026. He’s done well to learn leash manners and knows some basic cues such as “sit” and responding to recall. He’s more of a people-dog than a dog-dog and would prefer to spend time with his human companions. For full transparency, Neptune has been with us for a while and is beginning to feel the weight of kennel stress. We currently have him on anxiety medications to help alleviate it but we believe he will do well once he gets the chance to settle into a home.

Neptune has done well meeting calm dogs (medium to large) but he is not a fan of overly playful dogs that don’t respect his cues or body language. On a dog day out, Neptune got to meet a cat and did really well with her. He showed mild interest in her at the beginning but picked up on it very quickly that she did not want to interact and he didn't bother her after. If you have a dog at home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Please fill out an application on our website if you’re interested in meeting this sweet boy!
