Neo's Story

Hey, do you happen to know any dogs who need a little brother? Any people who need a snuggle partner? Anyone, perhaps, who might be a perfect match for a dog like me? My name is Neo, I'm nine months old, and I'm in the market for a real, proper, permanent home.
What's my story? Well, here's the prologue: When I was little, my human was an unhoused man. He wanted to keep me, but had a hard time taking care of me, so a lady we didn't know offered to help. She got me neutered and got my shots taken care of, but was never able to get in touch with my original human again. After a few months of trying (and teaching me house manners), she brought me here to the shelter to give me the chance to find a permanent home.
One thing you need to know about me before you come and meet me is that I'm a bit of a sensitive boy. It takes me a moment to get used to new people before I really trust them and want them to touch me. I know that, if this all goes well and you choose me, we'll spend many years being best friends. But right now, we're strangers. I hope I can find someone who will grant me a little patience. I'm worth the time. Once I start to trust you, I'm heart-meltingly gentle and snuggly!
I might be a little timid around new people, but dogs are a different story. When I meet a dog friend, it's like the sun comes out! I LOVE to play with other dogs and would love to find a home with a dog sibling who can show me the ropes.
I have lived with cats, but... I'm a little too interested in them. I would probably do best in a cat-free home, at least for now.
So if you're more of a dog person than a people person, we might be a great match. Let's get to know each other!

If interested please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
