Meet Nena — a 3-year-old, 16 lb Schnauzer mix currently being fostered in downtown Toronto. This scruffy little girl has the cutest face, a goofy personality, and the sweetest, most gentle nature.<br/>Nena can be a bit shy at first and takes a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her playful and affectionate side truly shines. She loves being close to her people and quickly becomes your little shadow, following you from room to room and always ready for a cuddle.<br/>As she settles in, her silly and loving personality comes out more and more. Nena is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds, making her a deeply special companion.<br/>She’s still learning the basics of life in a home—she’s currently working on house training and is still building her leash skills, along with learning boundaries, manners, and daily routines. Fortunately, she’s a very good listener with a calm, passive temperament, which makes training a rewarding experience. She’s gentle, eager to please, and responds beautifully to patience, consistency, and kindness.<br/>Because Nena is still new to her foster home, her personality and skills may continue to evolve as she becomes more comfortable. Everything shared here reflects what her foster family has observed so far.<br/>Nena would thrive in a calm, patient home with people who can continue building her confidence and guiding her as she learns.
