Then meet Nemo (aka Kaiser)! He has spent time with a couple of our foster families, and he has proven to be an excellent house guest. He is house trained, crate trained, doesn’t chew on anything that isn’t his, and can be left home alone with no worries. He knows basic commands, like come, sit, shake, and down and has the treat motivation to learn more. He enjoys walks and playing in the yard, and he gives you the cutest head tilt when you say “walk” or “out”. He has very good leash manners and will check in regularly. He may pull a bit if he sees a squirrel or bark out greetings to his fellow canines, but he’s fairly easy to manage if you’re used to walking big dogs. He is friendly and polite with people and may do well with other dogs after slow introductions. Cats—not so much. He would prefer to live in a cat-free zone.<br/><br/>Nemo/Kaiser is a pretty typical German Shepherd. Handsome, smart, chatty, playful, and loyal. He’s unfortunately found himself at the shelter a few times, so we would really like to find an adopter who is willing to commit to the time it takes to get to know him and the patience it takes to integrate him into a household.
