Nellie's Story

Meet Nellie!

Nellie is an almost 3-year-old pitty mix (turning 3 this July!) weighing in at a perfect 34 pounds. She’s the total package of athletic and affectionate; active, agile, and quick on her feet, but just as quick to melt into a happy little wiggle butt when she’s with her people.

She’s currently completing her training program with Black Onyx and has been putting in the work to become her best self. Nellie thrives when she has a job to do and does best when both her physical and mental needs are met. Think a mix of structured activity, enrichment, and time to settle. When that balance is in place, you really get to see her shine.

In her previous home, Nellie had some challenges with a housemate, but she has done well with other dogs during training- even sharing toys. That said, we recommend supervised play as she transitions into a new home, along with feeding separately to keep things low-pressure and set everyone up for success. At this time, she has not shown signs of food resource guarding.

Having grown up in a quieter, country environment, Nellie can be a bit unsure about busy city sights and sounds, but she’s gaining confidence more and more each day and learning how to navigate the world.

Nellie is a sweet, loving girl who just wants to feel fulfilled, understood, and part of something. With the right routine and continued support, she’s going to make an incredible companion.

Adoption fee includes: veterinary exam,

DHPP up to date at time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and deworming.

All of our adoption fees include veterinary exam, age appropriate vaccines (up to date at time of adoption) spay/neuter, microchip and deworming.

Puppies $550

Kittens $200

Adult fees vary, please message our page.
