Nellie's Story

Say hello to Nellie! She was born right before Christmas 2017 along with a bunch of siblings. Her mama is a 45 lb. Hound mix we picked up off the road right after she was dumped and even though her daddy didn't leave a calling card (and no puppy support!), we think he could have been an Australian Shepherd or mix, best guess.

She is a happy girl who takes a bit to warm up but loves her humans. She is a goofy girl and loves to run around but also loves to be petted. She is mostly black with brown markings and currently weighs around 50-ish lbs. She would do best in a home with another dog and because she is a hound, would likely not be suitable for apartment dwelling.

If you would like to meet Nellie please go to www.newbestfriend.org and submit an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, vaccinations and microchip.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt nor transport outside the Greater Houston area.
