***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact female ~6 yrs. old 63 pounds Vaccines given 6-17-26 No microchip ALT ID# 6-9-26 3 6-27-26 nervous but nice, needs more training with leash walking 7/1/26 - While trying to get dog out for a walk she is avoidant of the leash. Once out she will walk but randomly freeze and needs further training. She was non-reactive to the other dogs. Negra is kenneled with another dog and came from a home with 5 other dogs. She is very food motivated. She can be nervous at 1st but warmed up fairly quickly. Allowed pets head to tail slightly tense with touch near hind end but no negative reaction. *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull NOW; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian.
