Negan's Story

Meet Negan! Negan is a very handsome ~9 month old neutered male hound/shepherd mix pup! He currently weighs about 45 lbs and is likely mostly done growing (he may still fill out a little more). Negan is a sweet, friendly boy who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. He is an energetic, playful pup who enjoys romping around in the yard with his human and/or doggo friends! He would love to join a family with another young, playful dog to keep him company, but he would also do fine as an only dog, as long as he gets adequate physical/mental stimulation. He is a smart boy and is very food motivated! This super cutie is medically up-to-date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this sweet boy today! Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. Paws Rescue League Inc.'s Adoption Policy

WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE AND ARE LICENSED IN CT. We have fosters throughout New England. The applicant MUST be willing to meet the dog at the foster's location. 1) You must fill out an application. Applications can take 2-5 days to complete, Please go on our website to submit an application: https://www.pawsrescueleague.org/adoptable-dogs.html YOUR INQUIRY WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNLESS AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED 2) A home visit will be scheduled with with the potential adopter, either in person or over a virtual video call. Once you have had your home visit, you will receive an email notifying you of our decision. 3) If approved a meet and greet will be arranged with you, and the dog and the foster parent. So you and your family/fur members can meet the dog and make sure everyone gets along. 4) We send adopters the adoption contract prior to the meet and greet so you have a chance to read over the adoption contract. Adopters must sign the contract before taking the dog home with them. You have 48 hours after meeting the dog to decide to adopt or not to adopt. - We try not to hold up dogs for too long and do not want to miss out on a good home for them. 5) If you choose to adopt, you will need to sign before picking the dog up, or bringing the dog home. We ask for a "I am furever home" picture to post to our website after each dog has been adopted! ** We are NOT adopting to MA or ME residents at this time! Thank you!
