Nate's Story

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Nate! Nate is approximately 5 months old, 35 lbs at the moment, and he may have some cattle dog in his mix. In his foster home, Nate is working hard on his house-training, crate-training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+, other dogs, and dog-savvy cats.

No apartments, please!

His foster says, "Nate acts like he’s been with us his whole life! From day one, he fit right in and hasn’t missed a beat. I have No doubt he will do the same in any home! He is very respectful to both my senior large dog and senior small dog and takes correction from them without any reaction. He loves our cats! He chases them in a playful way (the ones that are game) but will also lay on his side to get down to their level to play. I have not seen him get rough with them at all. Nate instantly calms when you rub his ears and the sides of his face! You can put him to sleep doing it! He enjoys our big fenced yard and a playmate. He is very food motivated so should be easy to teach basic obedience. We don’t crate him very much. He does very well loose overnight. He does especially well after playing outside all day! We have very much loved having Nate!"

He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in November, or possibly earlier. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
