Natalie's Story

Looking for a best friend who's equal parts sweetheart, social butterfly, and certified goofball? Meet Natalie—the wiggly, bright-eyed charmer who turns every room into a party the second she walks in

Natalie is a 1-year-old, 25-pound Shepherd mix from Tijuana with a heart as big as her personality She's affectionate, endlessly loving, and very smart (seriously—this girl figures things out fast ). Her signature move? A full-body wiggle that starts at her nose and ends in the happiest tail you've ever seen.

Since arriving in the big city, Natalie has settled in like a pro. By day, she's your adventure buddy—always up for walks, playtime with dog friends, or a spirited game of fetch. By night, she transforms into a world-class cuddle bug, happiest curled up on the couch soaking in all the love

She already knows “sit,” “lay,” and “shake,” and is eager to keep learning (especially if snacks are involved—this girl is very food motivated ). She's fully trained outdoors and has also mastered pee pads, but like any smart pup, she'll thrive with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement.

On leash, Natalie is a total lady She walks politely, checks in with her human for reassurance, and handles the hustle and bustle with impressive calm. Birds, however...that's her one weakness Otherwise, she's wonderfully non-reactive—even when other dogs are being less than polite. She's curious, friendly, and has all the makings of an excellent recall buddy with a little continued training.

Natalie is happiest when she's part of whatever you're doing—whether that's a weekend hike, a neighborhood stroll, or tagging along to a dog-friendly happy hour She's the perfect mix of playful and chill: equally down for a puppy playdate or a cozy night in with her favorite squeaky snake and puzzle toys (did we mention she's a genius? )

She's still warming up to the crate—she'd much prefer a comfy bed or your couch—but with a good chew, she can settle When left alone, she's been a relaxed, TV-watching queen

Natalie would do best with a medium-active family who can match her energy when it's go-time and appreciate her love of lounging when it's not She'd be happy as your one-and-only or with a dog sibling Note: she's a vocal player—she just gets very excited and chatty during playtime!

She has a gentle, loving nature with both adults and dogs, and we think she'd make a wonderful family pup She's great with kids, though as always, slow and respectful introductions are key.

If you're ready for a loyal companion who will make you laugh daily and love you endlessly, Natalie is ready to meet you

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

To apply to adopt Natalie, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.

Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
