Nash's Story

Meet Nash!

This handsome 3-year-old Frenchie recently came to us after his previous home noticed he wasn't feeling his best and felt that they did not have the time or resources to dedicate to him.

Once Nash arrived, our team discovered he had an infection caused by a deformity in his tail that was blocking his rectum. As you can imagine, this made going to the bathroom uncomfortable and difficult for the poor guy.

The good news is that Nash is already on the path to feeling much better! He has a corrective surgery scheduled for April 15th, where they will repair the issue and neuter him at the same time!

While Nash goes through this process, we are looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can give him a comfortable place to recover and all the love he deserves. Despite everything he's been dealing with, Nash is an absolute sweetheart. He's spunky, playful, affectionate, and full of personality-everything you'd expect from a lovable Frenchie.

Nash has shown interest in other dogs and cats, but he hasn't had formal introductions yet while we focus on getting him healthy. With the right home and a little recovery time, we expect this good boy's true personality to shine even more.

If you're willing to open your home and heart to a pup who just needs a little medical TLC before starting his next chapter, Nash would love to meet you.

Toledo Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Steps to Take: Please visit the Rescue website to see all of our available animals If you see an animal you are interested in please submit an adoption application. Once we have received that application we will review it, and call you to schedule an appointment to come and meet our animals! On the application, if you do not have a veterinarian reference, please consider one you may be using. Adoption visits may or may not happen on the same day. Adoption approval may take a few days. On the Day of Adoption: If you are adopting a dog, please bring a carrier and/or leash and collar with you to pick up your pet. If you are adopting a cat, you will be required to bring a carrier. Animals are not deemed adopted until all paperwork has been processed, fees paid, and the animal is released. Adoption Fees Cover the Following: Up to date shots/vaccinations for the pet's age Deworming Heartworm test (dogs over 6 months) FIV/FeLeuk test (cats) Petlink Microchip Spay/Neuter Includes free vet exam within 2 weeks after adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Please note there’s no such thing as a “free pet.” Such medical procedures performed by the Rescue would cost well over $300 at an animal hospital.
