Nash's Story

Please say hello to Mr. Nash! Nash is an approx. 6-year-old mixed breed boy who came to us from Moose Factory. This handsome boy is as sweet as he is striking, super cuddly, affectionate, and happiest when hes soaking up love from his people.

Nash has made wonderful progress with his house training and continues to improve each day. Hes crate trained (especially if there are treats involved!) and settles in nicely at night. On leash, hes enthusiastic and may pull when excited to see other dogs or animals (squirrels!), but with continued guidance hell keep getting better. He also rides calmly in the car and is a gentleman at the vet.

Because Nash can be protective of treats and toys around other dogs, hes best suited as the only dog in the household. He has also shown some guarding behaviors with children when high-value items are involved, so hell thrive in a home without kids or with older, dog-savvy children. Nash hasnt been tested with cats, though he did show a little too much interest in them during a vet visit, so a cat-free home is recommended.

Nash will thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog, with no cats or small animals. Hell do best with adults or older, dog-savvy kids who understand the need to give him space around high-value items. What Nash really needs is a family committed to continuing his training and helping him feel secure. With consistency and love, hes sure to blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion hes meant to be.

His foster family describes Nash as a cuddly, special boy who cant get enough of belly rubs and neck scratches. He adores his people and happily soaks up every bit of attention he can get. Nash spends much of his day lounging outdoors and is always up for a walk or an adventure. With his affectionate personality and love for the outdoors, Nash is sure to bring warmth, joy, and companionship to the right home.

Please visit our website www.preciouspawsrescue.ca to submit an adoption application.

Precious Paws Rescue's Adoption Policy
Before inquiring about a specific dog for adoption, please ensure you have read their complete bio. We try to provide a complete description of each dog’s preferences in their write up including whether they are good with children and/or other pets. Adoption fees for each dog are also listed in their bio. If you still have questions about a dog you’re interested in please send us a message and one of our volunteers will respond as soon as possible. The first step if you are interested in adopting one of our available dogs is to complete our online Adoption Application at www.preciouspawsrescue.ca. Once your application is received one of our volunteers will review it and then get in touch with you to schedule a time for an interview. We will request a Zoom interview with you, so that we can complete your “phone interview” and “home visit” all at once. If these applications are not available to you we will schedule your phone interview first and, following that, we will schedule a home visit where a volunteer visits to meet all family members and see where the dog would be living. Our focus is on making the best match, not only for our rescue dogs, but also for our adoptive families. We want our adoptions to be successful for all involved so please understand that our adoption process is in place to ensure this happens. If you have any questions please get in touch!
