Nani's Story
MEET NANI

Sweet, silly, affectionate, and always ready for a good cuddle! Nani is a lovable girl who enjoys peaceful trail walks, playing with her doggy foster brother, and snuggling up close to her favorite people.

Nani came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Mississippi, where she spent her days in a kennel. She's now in a loving foster home here in Massachusetts, learning what life in a home is all about. At first, everything was unfamiliar, and even everyday sounds like the vacuum and washing machine were a little overwhelming. With time, she's become much more comfortable with household noises, daily routines, and people coming and going. She's still a cautious girl, especially with new experiences, but each day she's learning to trust the world around her a little more.

Nani can be shy meeting new people and needs time to feel comfortable. Busy public places, traffic, and passing cars still make her nervous, but she absolutely loves peaceful hikes and trail walks. With patience and reassurance, her confidence continues to grow.

Once Nani gets to know you, she's incredibly loving and affectionate. At bedtime, she's happiest snuggled up beside you, so be prepared to make a little extra room in bed!

She does great with her foster dog brother and often looks to him for reassurance when she's unsure of something. Another confident dog in her forever home would be wonderful for her! They love playing tug-of-war and even running around carrying the same stick. Hard chew toys are another favorite and can keep her happily occupied for ages.

Nani is also a wonderful houseguest! She does great when left home alone and isn't destructive. She's mastered sit and come, and while potty training is going well, she still needs puppy pads available. She loves her treats and can get a little enthusiastic taking them, so a home with older kids would be best.

Nani has already come so far, and there's so much more of her sweet personality waiting to shine. All she needs is a loving family willing to give her the time, patience, and encouragement to continue blossoming.

MA Rescue License # 0078

Please visit our website Sweet Paws Rescue if you would like more information about us.
