Nala Panera's Story

10-year-old Nala came to us from the San Diego Humane Society along with her bestie, Goose (who is also available for adoption). She weighs 16 lbs. Shortly after arriving at Frosted Faces in mid-November, Nala and Goose were chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling - one that happily turned into a foster stay until they find their forever home. Thanks to their wonderful foster family, we've learned how special this pair is, including the loving bond they share.

Goose and Nala's foster family reports:

"Nala is a smart and independent girl who loves sunbathing, playing with toys, and going out for walks. She has also gotten so much better with car rides and enjoys sticking her head out from the window. Nala is perfect at home - house-trained, calm and gentle with humans. She has learned not to pull so much (a no-pull harness is working well for her) on walks. She tries hard not to react, and we are training her to focus on us by using treats. Nala knows "sit" "drop it" and "shake." We are teaching her "down" and "stay."

Goose is an affectionate and sweet boy who loves sitting on your lap and cuddling with you. He is calm and likes to take naps during the day but he will get burst of energy out of nowhere! It's so much fun to watch Goose and Nala play with squeaky toys and try to steal them from each other. He is good with car rides and walks well on leash, although he tends to bark at other dogs during walk. He is good with other small dogs.

Nala and Goose do great while we are at work and enjoy sunbathing in the caged outdoor area as well as snoozing inside the house. They get super excited when we come home from work, and even Nala (who is not cuddly) cuddles with us which makes it extra special and just melts our hearts!"

Nala and Goose adore each other and have so much love to give to their forever family. Could that be you?

To meet Nala and Goose, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
