Nala's Story

Nala, a brave, 2 yr old Plott-Hound mix, whose spirit shines brighter than anything she's endured. After being struck by her previous owner's car, Nala lost her front leg and her home...but never her heart. Now she runs and plays with a courage that will move you, and when she curls up beside you, all she wants is to feel safe. Nala bonds deeply in hopes to be your one devoted companion. She's spayed, vaccinated, crate trained, and ready for someone to finally choose her. If you want a loyal companion whole loves with her whole heart, Nala is waiting -hoping-you'll be the one.
> Plott Hound/Pit mix (no dna done) weighing about 45 lbs, with a stunning brindle coat and a heart that’s even bigger than her smile. She’s been through a lot—after being hit by a car, Nala was medically surrendered and had her front leg amputated—but don’t let that fool you. This girl is pure resilience & joy. Nala doesn’t let life slow her down one bit. She loves being outside and will happily run, play, and explore whenever she gets the chance. When the adventures wind down, she’s all about the cuddles—soaking up attention, requesting belly rubs, and staying close to her favorite people. She forms deep bonds and truly thrives on human companionship. Due to her size, better if there are bigger children in home.
Because she thrives on one-on-one attention, Nala would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where she can truly be the star of the show—and she’ll gladly return that devotion tenfold. She is house & crate trained. Nala has tested positive for Lyme disease, which has been medically managed, is up to date on vaccinations, ready to find her forever family.>>If you’re looking for a loyal, resilient companion who will fill your days with love, laughter,& outdoor adventures, Nala might just be your perfect match. 2-wk 'Foster to Adopt' for adults. Apply-link on www.lovemuttsrescue.org

Nala is great with people, but seems to be dog reactive. She should probably be the only animal in the household. She bonds to her person deeply.

Love Mutts Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adoption Methods: FOSTER TO ADOPT: · This method of adoption gives you a 2 week trial period with a pet to see if they are the right fit. This does not apply to puppies and kittens. During that time, the pet remains the property of the rescue. After the two week time period, the pet will be considered adopted and the rescue will no longer be responsible for vetting. Finalizing is a matter of filling out a few paperwork items with you to register your pet’s microchip and such. · The full adoption fee is due before taking the pet home. If it does not work out, we refund the fee less $50. This $50 can be applied towards another pet or is tax deductible as a donation. FULL ADOPTION: · With this method there is no trial period. The pet will officially become yours the day you take them home. If the adoption doesn’t work out you are to return the pet to us versus trying to re-home them. There is no refund if you decide to return the pet.
