Meet Nala! This sweet older gal is approximately 9 years old as of Sept 2025. Nala’s owner passed away and unfortunately she has ended up in the shelter. Nala is potty trained and crate trained. She needs a quiet home with low activity as the only pet and a home without small children. Nala is very laid back and loves her walks. She takes some time to get used to new people but once she does, she is your friend for life. Here is what her foster mom has to say about her. "Meet Nala — proof that broken hearts can still love again.<br/>This sweet senior lady is about 9 years young, and life hasn’t exactly been gentle with her.<br/>Nala lost her lifelong human.<br/>Then she lost her home.<br/>Then she was told she should be euthanized because she was “aggressive” and “could never love again.”<br/>Truth is… she was just heartbroken and confused. She didn’t know where her person went or why she was suddenly alone.<br/>With two months of patience, kindness, and love, Nala remembered who she really is — a gentle soul who just needed time to feel safe again. <br/>Sadly, she then spent a full year living in a crate, waiting for someone to see her worth.<br/>Fast forward to now 3 weeks in foster care, and WOW. This girl is BLOOMING <br/>Nala’s resume includes:<br/>• Professional face-kisser<br/>• Walks beautifully on leash<br/>• Does a full-body happy dance when she sees the leash<br/>• Needs only a 15–20 minute walk (after that it’s more of a leisurely stroll)<br/>• Will roll on her back at least twice per walk for mandatory belly rubs<br/>• Loves chilling in the yard<br/>• Enjoys a good tug-of-war<br/>• Certified Velcro dog — where you go, she goes<br/>Bathroom? No privacy.<br/>Kitchen?
