At around 8–10 years old, she’s the perfect mix of mellow and quietly playful—enjoying short bursts of energy followed by plenty of cozy downtime. She’s just starting to discover the joy of toys, and it’s absolutely adorable to watch her pounce with curiosity as she figures it all out.<br/><br/>Inside the home, Nala is truly a dream. She’s incredibly easygoing, content to relax on her own but happiest when she can be with her person. She’s not clingy, just wonderfully affectionate—always ready for a cuddle, a belly rub, or a good neck scratch when her collar comes off at the end of the day. Her tail has been wagging more and more each day as she settles in, and it’s clear she’s blossoming.<br/><br/>Nala loves enrichment activities like sniffing games and using a snuffle mat for meals. She enjoys soft, squishy toys and natural chew bones, and she handles alone time beautifully. She’s also very tolerant and trusting—comfortable with handling, including having her paws touched, teeth checked, and even enjoying a good ear-cleaning massage.<br/><br/>She thrives on routine and does wonderfully with a predictable schedule. With regular outings, she is fully house-trained and understands her home rhythm well.<br/><br/>Nala would do best in a quieter environment where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. The outside world can feel overwhelming for her right now, especially busy or unpredictable environments, but she is great on leash and tends to ignore other dogs. She will need a patient, understanding adopter who can help her feel safe and secure as she navigates new surroundings.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will be your loyal sidekick and snuggle buddy, Nala is your girl.
