Mystery's Story
Point a camera at Mystery and he smiles straight into it, every single time. Crouch down and he is already there, and if you stop scratching he leans in harder.

Mystery is a two year old male with a boxer style face, a rusty red coat with a white chest, and the most expressive eyebrows in the building. He is about 50 pounds. He recently spent a few weeks living in a home and is back with us neutered, vaccinated, and house trained.

What he wants is to be as close to his people as possible, with a toy nearby and a hand resting on his back. He sits for attention and carries a toy around until a person shows up. Sit down next to him and he puts his whole weight into your side and stays there. He lived with teenagers in his last home, and he would be a happy, easygoing companion for a family that wants a dog right in the middle of things.

A few honest things before you apply. Mystery does best in a home where someone is around for most of the day rather than away for long shifts. He is still learning to like his crate, so he needs someone patient who lets him walk in on his own. We have not been able to test him with other dogs or cats, so we would take any introductions slowly.

We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
