Myles's Story

Meet Myles

This sweet boy has been settling into foster life and showing us more of his gentle, loving personality every day. While his brother jumped right in without hesitation, Myles took a little more time to adjust—and it's been so rewarding to watch him grow more comfortable and confident.

Myles is a calm, sensitive soul who thrives in a calm, patient environment. He can be a bit timid at first and may get nervous in new situations, sometimes even “piddling” when overwhelmed, but with kindness, consistency, and reassurance, he truly blossoms. Once he feels safe, Myles is incredibly loving and loyal—he just needs someone willing to give him that time and understanding.

He's doing great with the adults in his foster home and is learning new things every day! Myles is already walking nicely on a leash with a harness, enjoys toys, and has even been tagging along on outings—proving what a cool, easygoing companion he can be. After a day of adventures, he's more than happy to curl up and snooze by your side (or in the truck after a long day!).

Because of his sensitive nature, Myles would likely do best in a quieter home without small children, where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.

Like many puppies who didn't have the easiest start, Myles is still filling out and learning that meals will always come—he's currently very enthusiastic about food and doing well on a consistent feeding routine.

Myles is truly a special boy with so much love to give. He just needs the right person or family to see him for who he is and help him continue to grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be.

If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion and have the patience to help a shy pup shine, Myles might just be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt: https://denkaisanctuary.org/adopt
