Myles's Story
Meet Myles.

Myles is an estimated 2-year-old pit bull mix who weighs about 62 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray on December 15, 2025, so we do not have background information about his life before coming to us. Everything we know about Myles is based on what the staff has seen since he’s been here.

Myles is believed to be housebroken and has shown himself to enjoy routine and comfort. He likes long walks, chewing on his toys, and settling down with a blanket. He seeks out people and enjoys being close by.

There is a reported incident involving Myles from before he came to the shelter, where he was tethered outside, and an elderly individual was bitten on the hand and forearm after the dog jumped up. The injuries were not serious, and there is limited context available surrounding the situation. Since being in our care, staff have not observed any aggression issues from Myles.

Myles is not neutered at this time, so geographical adoption restrictions apply. Adopters must be residents of Stafford County or surrounding counties.

Myles will do best with someone who values structure, supervision, and consistency, and who is looking for a dog that enjoys companionship and routine.

Stafford County Animal Shelter
26 Frosty Lane
Stafford, VA 22554

Hours
Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays and holidays

Adoptions conclude 30 minutes before closing.

Please come meet Myles and speak with staff to learn more about him.
