MYLES's Story

Current Status: AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ON THURSDAY, 1-29-2026 AT 11 AM
Name: MYLES
Details: This handsome boy is Myles. He is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois Mix. He is recovering nicely from a Spiral Fracture of the right hind leg.
Please read the entire post so you know exactly what to expect from this sweet guy. Myles needs a very special home. He has been with us since Oct. 8th dealing with various medical issues. Most of those issues have been resolved or are in the final stages of being resolved.
Myles needs a very patient & understanding home. He suffers from separation anxiety, and does not do well when left alone. He has lived with another female dog at his previous owner's house, so we expect that with a proper introduction, he would get along with other dogs. We don't know how he would do with cats, but we do know that he has a serious aversion towards squirrels, so that might not be a great idea. He has been okay with older children, but would probably knock down the littles.
He knows how to open doors, so he would need a full-proof plan so he cannot escape. If you are interested in Myles, please contact the kennel with any additional questions. If you cannot provide him a safe & conducive home to meet his needs, please do not try to adopt him. He is high-strung anxietal and will need daily exercise to keep him on his best behavior.
BUT...if you have an atmosphere that he will do well in, please come meet him and consider giving him a forever home. We promise you, for the right person, he will be an amazing dog and will be worth every headache he gives you.
We all fell in love with him and just want what is best for him. You are welcome to come meet him prior to the time he becomes available.
Description: 4 Years Old, Neutered Male, Shepherd Malinois Mix, 82#
Kennel ID#: D25-309
Intake Date: 10-08-2025

Sandusky County Dog Kennel
1950 Countryside Place
Fremont, OH 43420
419-334-2372

ADOPTION FEE is $150 and includes the spay or neuter, 1 year Rabies Vaccine, 4 in 1 vaccine, heartworm test, deworming, current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and the current years Dog License.

ADOPTION PROCESS: If more than one person is here for the same dog at the time the dog becomes available, a drawing will be held to decide the adopter.
