She came into foster care as an owner surrender due to changes in living circumstances, and shes now ready for a fresh start with a family who understands her breeds instincts and her soft heart.<br/><br/>Personality & Behavior:<br/><br/>-A little shy with new people, but she warms up quickly once she knows youre safe.<br/>-True Bossy Aussie — she has that typical stranger danger instinct and likes to supervise her world.<br/>-Great with other dogs when introduced properly.<br/>-She isn't interested in toys — she's more of a people focused companion.<br/>-Loves belly rubs, snuggles, giving kisses and couch time more than anything.<br/>-Crate trained, shows some barrier aggression towards other dogs when crated, but calms down once everyone settles in their crates.<br/>-She knows how to use the dog door into the fenced yard.<br/><br/>Health & Activity:<br/><br/>-She arrived at 60 lbs. and is currently on a diet and exercise program to help her reach a healthier weight of around 50 lbs. She enjoys activity but isnt hyper — shes happy with walks, yard time, and hanging out with her people.<br/>-Shes not afraid of water, though she hasnt quite decided whether the pool sun deck is worth exploring.<br/>-Walks great on a leash and rides nicely in the car.<br/><br/>Ideal home she'll thrive with:<br/><br/>-A patient adopter who understands her initial shyness<br/>-Someone familiar with Aussie traits and boundaries<br/>-A home that values companionship, routine, and gentle structure<br/>-A family who loves cuddles as much as she does<br/>-Another furry family member is a plus<br/>-Single family home with a yard, preferably fenced<br/><br/>If you are the perfect forever home for Mya, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at tinagrove@ymail.com.
