Muttley D6116 & Jeff D6115 (Bonded Pair)'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Muttley and Jeff, a bonded pair of Chihuahua/Terrier mixes. Mutley’s date of birth is believed to be around 6/9/22 and Jeff is guessed at 7/3/20. Both were left by their previous owner in Bloomington and found their way to animal control where Wags and Whiskers rescued them.

Muttley is the one with a snub nose, which suggests he might have some pug in him. He is a bit on the chunky side because he’s quick at stealing the resident dog’s food and treats if his foster mom isn’t watching. He is instantly friendly with dogs and people and doesn’t mind cats.

Jeff is skittish in new environments and takes some warming up to new people so if you are interested in adopting them you will need to come to the foster’s home to meet them in the Apple Valley/Lakeville area. Once he gets used to a person, he is very loving and snuggly.

Jeff also has seizures that are fairly controlled by taking a medication called phenobarbital twice a day. The cost of the meds is about $30/month. He takes them easily if you hide them in some cheese or meat.

Both Muttley and Jeff are good about going potty outside if not left alone too long. They have not been kenneled and are used to having free reign of the house and fenced yard. They appear to walk well on a lease but Jeff gets excited when he sees other dogs and tries to enthusiastically engage with them.

Both love toys and having someone to play tug of war with.

Since they are a bonded pair, they will need to go together. They will be very sweet and loving companions once they settle in to their new home.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application. Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet! A home visit is required prior to adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt!

Breed and temperament determination: Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.
