Murphy the Happiest Golden's Story
PLEASE NOTE: The Petfinder “Inquiry” is not our adoption application…
Meet Murphy…
Murphy is a young (born March 2024) gorgeous and incredibly sweet English cream golden retriever.
He is a large boy and has lots of puppy energy, but he is also super sweet and gentle. He loves all humans and dogs and would do best with another friendly and playful dog sibling and requires a physically fenced yard.
He loves to play fetch and chew on Benebones, play in the kiddie pool (so far isn’t interested in swimming in the big pool but will “dip his feet in”) and run in the yard, and he is GREAT on car rides!
Murphy requires a prescription diet and supplements for his inflammatory bowel disease, and he will need to remain strictly on this diet. It is extremely important that his family be diligent and vigilant about preventing him from getting into any other food besides his prescription diet as that could cause him to become very ill. For this reason Murphy would do best in a home without young children.
The cost of his food is approximately $130 per month and the cost of the supplement is approximately $14/ month. His IBD is under control if kept strictly to this diet.
Murphy is neutered, crate trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and his adopter will receive 30 days of free pet insurance.
We are made up of a small network of loving foster homes so we do not have a public facility to visit.
We limit adoptions to less than one hour from our southern NJ area. If you’d like to be considered to make Murphy a part of your family, please submit an application at this link: https://www.newlifeanimalrescue.org/adoptionfoster-app
We will review your application and speak with your references, and if everything looks good we will contact you to schedule a home visit where we bring him to meet you!
Thank you for considering adoption of a rescue pet!
