We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!<br/><br/>———————<br/><br/>MURPHY is the life of the paw-ty! He brings the energy, the charm, and a healthy disregard for the rules of fetch. He’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly becomes everyone’s favorite—snacks mysteriously disappear, hearts melt, and somehow he ends up on your couch like he owns the place (because, let’s face it, he kind of does).<br/><br/>Murphy is social, playful, and just the right mix of silly and sweet. He gets along well with other dogs and will never turn down a squeaky toy or a chance to ham it up for attention.<br/><br/>Murphy’s highlight reel:<br/>• Fetch champion (as long as you don’t expect the ball back) <br/>• Olympic-level puppy eyes<br/>• Walks = exercise + snack stops <br/>• Loud and proud squeaky toy enthusiast<br/>• Thinks personal space is a suggestion, not a rule<br/>• Your future shadow, couch buddy, and comedic sidekick <br/><br/>One of our volunteers took Murphy on a field trip to her house, and Murphy absolutely crushed it. He loved the car ride, had the best time with the wind in his ears, and of course a pup cup was a big hit. <br/><br/>He also got to spend time with her daughter, and the two of them became besties so fast. Murphy would be so happy in a home with kids. He also does great with other dogs, big and small, and is always ready to play. His only request? No cats, please.<br/><br/>Murphy is an energetic boy who would love a yard with a tall fence where he can run and play. He’s super smart, eager to learn, and ready to pick up new skills and manners quickly. He just needs someone to give him that chance.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a dog who’s full of personality, packed with love, and ready to be your everyday comedy show, Murphy is the one. He’s not just memorable—he’s unforgettable. <br/><br/>Murphy is a 2 year old Lab Mix and he weighs 68 lbs. He's kennel trained and house trained.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
