Murphy's Story

Name: Eli
Age: 4 Years
Gender: Male
Breed: Mixed Breed
Weight: 661Ibs

Meet Eli! This handsome guy is one happy, high-energy boy who is always ready to get out of his kennel and get moving. The second Eli gets the chance to head outside, his excitement really kicks in! He seems to know how to sit, and if you happen to bring out a tennis ball, you better be prepared to throw it because Eli will make sure you know when he is ready for another round. He gets very excited about his tennis balls and has plenty to say about it with his enthusiastic barks!

Eli does pull on the leash, but we think a lot of that is simply because he is SO excited to be out and experiencing all the fun. He is going to be a great match for someone who enjoys an active dog and is willing to continue working with him on his leash manners. Through the kennel gate, Eli seemed friendly and interested in the other dogs, but as always, a kennel or gate interaction isn't enough to determine compatibility. We would recommend a meet and greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone is comfortable and that it is a good fit.

Eli is also currently dealing with a mass on his ear that we would like to have removed. He will also need to be neutered, and we are working to raise $1,000 to help cover the cost of getting both of these things taken care of. We want Eli feeling his best and ready to start the next chapter of his life, but we need your help to make that happen. Please consider donating toward Eli's medical care so we can get him healthy, get that ear mass removed, and get him one step closer to finding his forever home.

If you're looking for a fun, energetic guy who thinks tennis balls are the greatest invention ever, Eli may be your guy!

Adoption questionnaire & information: https://www.waynedogshelter.org/adoption-questionnaire

Donate towards Eli's mass removal and neuter here: https://client.pointandpay.net/web/WayneCoDogShelterOH/
