Hiya! I'm Murphy and I am a 4 year old golden lab. I weigh in at 68 lbs and I'm looking for my new home!<br/><br/>I love to play fetch and I'm happy to play for as long as anyone is willing to throw a ball. I also discovered water...and I love it!! I have a kiddie pool in my backyard and love to hop in and out on a warm day. I’m a good boy and won’t chew on anything I’m not supposed to but I do love toys and make sure they are extra tough please! My favorites are rope toys for tug, a good tennis ball, and tough bones. <br/><br/>I am very food motivated, but I won't grab your food at the table or counter. However, I'll happily take care of crumbs. I love the pupsicle (with frozen peanut butter and yogurt inside), Kong with peanut butter...or really anything with peanut butter!<br/><br/>I'm told I'm a super smart dog. I've done very well with training because I'm eager to please and I know many commands already. I'm also great with my crate. I eat meals there and happily go in with the crate command. I am happy in my crate both during the day and at night. <br/><br/>Do you have any puppy playmates in your house? If so, I would love to meet them. I had a wonderful afternoon out where I got to play with 3 other dogs, and we had the best time! I would do best in a house with older kids because I'm what you call skittish. I'm afraid of new people at first and can sound kind of mean. I don't really mean it and warm up quickly with a little time and some yummy treats. Did I mention I'm food motivated?<br/><br/>On the other hand, I can be a patient guy in the mornings and will happily lounge for some pets while you drink a cup of coffee before we go outside. I also love to imagine myself as a lap dog, even if I might be bigger than your lap!<br/><br/>I'm a very athletic dog and I'm still working on my leash manners. I may have lived with a cat without any issues but I love to chase rabbits and squirrels ! My foster thinks I might be good at agility work. I'm a fast learner and I would love to find a new home to keep living my best life.<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
