Murphy's Story

Murphy is a sweet Corgi mix looking for the loving home he’s always deserved. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Murphy missed out on much of his puppy years — but you’d never know it from his big, playful heart. He’s making up for lost time and he’s ready to soak up all the love, attention, and belly rubs the world has to offer. Our best guess at age is 1.5 yrs old, and he is about 30 lbs.

Murphy is a little cautious by nature and can be shy with new people at first, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up. Once he does, you’ll see just how affectionate he truly is — he just wants to be near you, get pets, and be your shadow. And that tail? It’s always going. Just glance in his direction and that little propeller starts flying — he’s one happy boy, through and through.

Outside, he really lights up: running around, playing with other dogs, and finally getting to just be a puppy. He’s the most loving dog you’ll ever meet, and there’s truly something special and unique about him. Watching him enjoy these simple joys after everything he’s been through is something else — and he’s ready to bring a lot of joy and happiness into the household lucky enough to take him in.

Murphy is looking for:

• Patient people who’ll let him warm up at his own pace
• A home ready to shower him with attention and affection once he’s comfortable
• A yard or nearby space to run and play
• Other dog friends (he loves them!)

Give Murphy the puppyhood he deserves — meet him today! The first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. He is neutered, HW- and up-to-date with shots. His adoption fee is $400, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
