Murph is a sweet, gentle giant looking for his forever home! We don’t know much about Murph’s past, but he was found as a stray in a rural part of Georgia. He was picked up by animal control and slightly under nourished at the time. Although after a short while with his foster family, he is thriving and healthy!

Murph is very loyal and will show endless affection to his people. He loves to snuggle and be close, and even sometimes confuses himself for a lap dog ? He likes to follow you around the house, he will be your shadow. Murph is medium energy. He loves being outside and needs a good walk (or a few!) daily. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has doggie friends he visits regularly for play dates. Although during the day/evening, Murph enjoys lounging and can more times than not be found napping next to his foster mom while she works. Murph’s foster family has 2 small children and he is very gentle and sweet with them. He is especially good at helping ‘clean up’ fallen cheerios off the floor! Murph occasionally has a hard time differentiating his toys from his little foster sister’s stuffed animals. But you can’t blame him…they look so much alike!

Murph is very intelligent, although sometimes to his detriment. He has been known to escape his fenced backyard to visit his neighbors. For this reason, Murph will need to be in a home with a secure 6’ fence.

Murph understands basic commands such as sit, stay and paw. But he is motivated to learn and responds to treats! He takes treats very gently from the hand.

Murphy is a wonderful dog and will prove to be a loving and faithful companion to a very lucky family.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
