While she may be a little older in years, don’t let that fool you—her spirit is playful, joyful, and very much young at heart.<br/><br/>She’s a wonderfully easy companion at home—fully housebroken, happy to curl up for cuddles on the couch or relax quietly on her dog bed.<br/><br/>Muriel thrives in the company of other dogs and absolutely lights up around her canine friends—she’ll even be the one to start the fun and invite them to play.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key girl with a playful side and a heart full of love, Muriel might just be your perfect match.<br/>---<br/><br/>We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $500 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.

We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches. Visitors at our shelter are by appointment only and are limited to those who have submitted applications. 1. Submit Application: https://www.lighthouseanimalshelter.org/application-instructions 2. Volunteers review your application. 3. After review, you will be contacted to set up an appointment. 4. Home Check: Some pets require a home visit. In some cases, a home visit is not required. It depends on factors such as fencing, children, & other pets. 5. Sign Adoption Contract: You will receive all medical paperwork, a new leash and collar, and food your new pet is used to eating.
