New things, quick movements, and loud sounds make me nervous, so I'm looking for an experienced, patient family who will help me explore the world at my own pace. Once I trust you, I'm a sweet boy who loves sitting close while you hold my face and give me pets. I've recently discovered my voice and will happily sing to you when I'm excited! Give me some space to run, and I'll be off like a rocket! Zooming and bouncing through the grass like a bunny. A friendly, confident dog companion is required to help me continue to build confidence and learn what life in a loving home is all about.<br/><br/>❗️ Important Things to Know If Considering Adopting One Of These Beagles ❗️<br/><br/>These dogs are incredibly sweet, but they will need patient, understanding adopters who are 100% committed to helping them adjust to life as beloved pets.<br/><br/>* Another dog is required. A friendly, confident dog in the home will help them learn routines, build confidence, and adjust more quickly.<br/><br/>* Safety is critical. They are an extreme flight risk and must always be securely managed outdoors with appropriate equipment. Even fenced yards are not enough on their own.<br/><br/>* Everything is new. Everyday sights, sounds, people, pets, and experiences may be overwhelming at first. They will need time to explore the world at their own pace.<br/><br/>* Go slow. Calm voices, gentle handling, and predictable routines will help them feel safe. They may shut down when frightened or overstimulated.<br/><br/>* House training will take time. Patience and consistency are a must as they learn what life in a home is all about.<br/><br/>* Most importantly, these are not "plug-and-play" pets. They will require time, patience, understanding, and possibly professional training.
