Muffin's Story

Have you seen the Muffin man? Well, this muffin doesn't live on Drury Lane - he lives at HSHP!
Muffin is a 4 month old Jack Russell/Poodle mix. If we could describe Muffin in one word, it would be DRAMA! Muffin was made to go into theater, as he loves to put on a show. He's talking almost constantly, and if you do something that slightly inconveniences him, he will act like it is the end of the world. His antics are very funny to watch, but it means he will not be a good apartment dog as his frequent barking is sure to upset the neighbors.
Muffin came to HSHP after his owner just did not have enough time to handle all of the energy he has. Muffin can be a handful, as he just wants to love and be spoiled. He's at that age where puppies requires a lot of attention, and are known for getting themselves into trouble. Muffin is right in the middle of his chewing phase. meaning he's been tearing up things that he shouldn't. As with any puppy, he is going to need a dedicated owner with the free time to handle him. He would also really benefit from having an active owner, as he has plenty of excess energy and will need help burning it all off. He is not yet housetrained, and doesn't recognize any commands, so he will need help with that as well. Muffin has never lived with other animals before, so we recommend a meet and greet with any pets prior to adoption.
Muffin is a one-of-a-kind pooch that will keep a smile on your face all day! He is up to date on his vaccinations and is already microchipped, which can be transferred to the new owner's name after adoption. He is now ready to find a forever family with the time to dedicate to him! If you think you could be the right fit for our Muffin man, stop by the shelter today!
