He was found in Hutchins, Texas almost a year ago and has been a favorite of the shelter staff ever since. Sadly, this quiet shelter sees very little traffic, and Mufasa has been patiently waiting far too long for the loving home he deserves.<br/><br/>This sweet boy is truly one of a kind. Mufasa is potty trained, crate trained, and wonderful with kids of all ages. He gets along with cats, other dogs, and especially adores puppies. But what really makes him special is his gentle, loving heart. He rarely barks, enjoys soft cuddles on the couch or in bed, and even politely asks before joining in for snuggle time.<br/><br/>Mufasa loves to be brushed, held, and petted, and he gives the most soulful, old-soul eye contact that will melt your heart. He loves holding your hand and will even give one gentle kiss on the nose as a token of his affection. Peanut butter? That’s his ultimate treat—he’ll happily pose for peanut butter photo shoots any time! He enjoys running around in the yard, but honestly, his favorite moments are the quiet ones spent close to his people.<br/><br/>Mufasa is a loyal, affectionate, gentle giant who just wants a family to love and to love him back. After waiting so long, he deserves a home where he can finally feel safe, cherished, and truly part of a family.<br/><br/>If you aren't in the state of Texas, Mufasa is still available to be adopted! We use several reliable transport companies that can get these precious babies anywhere for a addition transport fee! Unfortunately, Texas doesn't have any spay/neuter laws in place so many rescues are overrun with amazing adoptable dogs and cannot find homes in the state.
