Ms. Endive #1's Story

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Ms. Endive #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our
adoption application
so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours
(please check your spam folder for our emails)
.

Ms. Endive | 7-Year-Old Chihuahua Mix | Tiny Snugglebug with a Big Heart

Ms. Endive is a 6-pound lovebug who is happiest when she’s snuggled up with her people, tucked under a blanket, or soaking up the sunshine. She has a calm, easygoing personality with a playful side, and her little prance makes her extra charming. She also loves her daily walks and makes a great companion, though she may try to chase a squirrel or two along the way.

She’s house trained with a consistent routine and will whine to let you know when she needs to go out. As with any dog adjusting to a new environment, occasional accidents can happen at first. Ms. Endive has done very well when left home alone (both crated and uncrated with another dog) and settles in nicely. She gets along well with other small and similarly sized dogs, but would also be happy as your one and only, soaking up all the love.

This sweet girl is all about affection—she’ll curl up in your lap, rest her head on you, sit at your feet, and happily roll over for belly rubs. She’s very food motivated and is currently working on gaining some healthy weight, along with getting a dental to help her feel her best.

Ms. Endive’s ideal home includes daily walks, lots of snuggles, and a cozy spot (with a blanket!) to call her own. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion who will always be close by, she’s your girl.

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.

The adoption fee for this pet is $625. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.

Please fill out an adoption application by clicking
here
. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/

Our adoption process is:

1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.
