Mrs. Bubbles

Last Friday, Bubbles had a 6-week follow-up vet appointment following her knee surgery and got a clean bill of health! Her knee has healed perfectly and she's all set for walks and hikes. She's also lost 5 pounds and is looking positively svelte. ? <br/><br/>We still don't understand how this gorgeous girl hasn't found her furever yet! <br/>Originally on the e-list at MCACC for kennel stress, Yavapai Humane Trappers tagged her for rescue the night before she was set to be euthanized. Instead of being euthanized, she was spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and given her freedom ride to Prescott where she’s currently being fostered. <br/><br/>Bubbles is a very smart, incredibly sweet 8-year-old, 67 lb American Bully / Boxer mix who absolutely adores humans. While she currently lives with a special needs Chihuahua and has had other dogs as houseguests, we feel Bubbles would do best as an only pet. Bubbles has a very strong prey drive, so cats are a no-go for her. Because of her love for every human she’s met so far, we suspect she would get along with respectful children as well.<br/><br/>Bubbles loves to snuggle on the couch, sleep, play with squeaky toys, and chew on her marrow bone. Her foster parents both work, and Bubbles has proven she’s not destructive in any way when left uncrated. Both she and her foster sister have the run of the house when mom and dad are gone. Bubbles is also fully house trained.<br/>She now walks beautifully on leash and loves going for walks. She knows the commands sit, wait, and place. She actually puts herself on place when her humans are eating dinner and waits to be released once they're done eating. She loooooooves car rides and is very well-behaved in the car.<br/><br/>Ideally, Bubbles’ adopter would have previous experience with / knowledge of Bully breeds.<br/><br/>This girl still has plenty of energy, life to live, and love to give.
