In fact, I'm SOOOO VERY good at it.<br/><br/>I know some basic training and I'm continuing to work on my leash skills.<br/><br/>I'm also a dog who genuinely wants to please his people. I just do best when my human teaches me with patience and confidence rather than harsh or loud commands.<br/><br/>My foster family says that sometimes all I need is for someone to "whisper SWEET nothings in my ear."<br/><br/>And honestly?<br/><br/>I think they may be onto something.<br/><br/>I don't need someone to be tough with me.<br/><br/>I need someone who can calmly show me the rules while reminding me that I'm LOVED.<br/><br/>What I Want Now<br/><br/>I've had a few chapters in my life already.<br/><br/>I've known what it's like to be someone's beloved companion.<br/><br/>I've known what it's like to be part of a pack.<br/><br/>I've known the comfort of having people who care about me.<br/><br/>And now I'm looking for the chapter that lasts.<br/><br/>I want a human who will understand that underneath my quirky personality is a very sensitive heart.<br/><br/>Someone calm and confident.<br/><br/>Someone patient.<br/><br/>Someone who will give me time to settle into a new home and neighbourhood.<br/><br/>Someone who will appreciate my goofy side, my cuddly side and, yes, even my occasionally opinionated side.<br/><br/>I would love a home with a yard where I can enjoy some freedom and adventures, although with the right person, I may be able to adjust to apartment living.<br/><br/>I wouldn't be the right dog for children or young teenagers, but I'd love to have another dog around — especially a social, gentle female who might appreciate my charming ways.<br/><br/>Most of all, I want someone who sees me for me.<br/><br/>Not just the bossy bits.<br/><br/>Not just the cautious bits.<br/><br/>Not just the things I still need to learn.<br/><br/>But the whole dog.<br/><br/>The goofy dog.<br/><br/>The cuddly dog.<br/><br/>The treat-loving dog.<br/><br/>The forest-adventure dog.<br/><br/>The loyal little soul who, once he decides you're his person, wants nothing more than to be your best friend.<br/><br/>If you're looking for:<br/><br/>A loyal and loving companion<br/><br/>A goofy dog with a BIG personality<br/><br/>A forest adventure buddy<br/><br/>A dog who loves being part of a pack<br/><br/>A cuddle-loving boy who appreciates kind words<br/><br/>A companion who wants to please his person<br/><br/>A dog who will reward patience with an incredibly strong bond<br/><br/>And a very special character who simply needs the right person to see his heart...<br/><br/>Maybe I'm your boy.<br/><br/>I may not be the easiest dog for just anyone.<br/><br/>But perhaps that's because I'm waiting for someone who isn't looking for just any dog.<br/><br/>I'm waiting for my person.<br/><br/>Someone who will look past my quirks, understand my sensitive heart, and give me the chance to show them just how much love I have to give.<br/><br/>And when I finally know that you're my person?<br/><br/>Well...<br/><br/>you'll have one very loyal, goofy, cuddly, treat-loving bestie by your side.<br/><br/>I think my forever family is out there somewhere.<br/><br/>I just hope they're looking for a character like me.<br/><br/>Yours Truly,<br/><br/>Alvin

Nowruz Animal Rescue Group's Adoption Policy
Our Foster-to-Adopt Process At Nowruz Animal Rescue Group, we follow a foster-to-adopt process to ensure that each pet and family are a perfect match for one another. This approach allows both the dog and the adoptive family to adjust and bond before making a lifelong commitment. Step 1: Application Once a pet is listed for adoption, interested families are invited to fill out an online application form. This form includes: Three personal references The name of the veterinarian who will care for the pet Step 2: Application Review & Phone Chat After reviewing the application, we contact strong candidates for a phone interview. This gives us a chance to get to know the family better and answer any initial questions. Step 3: Home Check If the phone conversation goes well, we arrange a home check to ensure the living environment is safe and suitable for the specific pet. Step 4: Meet & Greet Next, we schedule a meet and greet with the dog and the family—either at the home or a secure, neutral location. One or two meetings may be arranged so everyone, especially the pet, has time to feel comfortable. During this time, we also complete reference checks. Step 5: Foster-to-Adopt Trial If the family decides to move forward, the dog begins a foster-to-adopt trial period. We deliver the pet to their new home along with essentials such as: Collar and leash Food and treats Favorite toys We encourage families to stay in touch throughout the transition. If you need support or guidance, we are just a phone call away.
